Ian Moran, who has joined the Sparx team in October, 2011, has a BSc Honours (Osteopathic Medicine) and has extensive experience in sports care. A licensed member of the Association of Osteopaths of New Brunswick. He has spent his time with professional and semi-professional sports players in a variety of sports in a wide age group.

He has vast experience in managing sports injuries and creating recovery programs, as well as helping in conditioning & preparing sport professionals for optimal performance. Ian has over 15 years of experience in managing various conditions including: digestive symptoms, cervicogenic headaches (headaches caused by the neck), neck pain, shoulder tension, mid and low back pain symptoms, knee symptoms, sciatica and also visceral problems. He has special interest in sports injuries and conditioning.

Osteopathy are trained in therapeutic approaches that are suitable for a broad range of individuals, including pregnant women, children and babies. Osteopathic care is delivered through a range of interventions which may include onward referral, health management advice, manual therapy, exercise therapy and others. Osteopaths adapt their therapeutic approach depending on the individual needs of the patient and their presenting complaint. Manual therapy techniques employed may include articulation and manipulation of joints and soft tissues.

This natural therapy uses gentle manual techniques to restore function to the body, improve posture, and relieve pain.
