Léon DesRoches - Owner, Physiotherapist - BSc Kin; BSc PT

Léon is originally from Moncton, New Brunswick. He holds two Bachelor’s degrees; one in Kinesiology from Université de Moncton (NB) and the other in Physiotherapy from Dalhousie University (NS).  Currently, he is completing his Doctorate in the Science of Physiotherapy from Andrews University in Michigan (US).  His interest in exercise physiology and biomechanics has given him the opportunity to work in collaboration with Dr. Nancy Black, Ph. D., professor in the Mechanical Engineering Department, Université de Moncton.

Leon is very passionate and dedicated to helping organize activities that focus on promoting health and wellness throughout the community.  His mission is to work with other health professionals in order to increase physical activity within the school system and bring our young population further towards a healthier lifestyle.  His favourite way to stay healthy is to spend time enjoying outdoor activities with his wife and children.

Dominic Gauvin

Dominic Gauvin - Physiotherapist - DSS; BSc PT

Dominic had studied Pre-Med and Kinesiology at U de M before obtaining is Bachelor's degree in Physiotherapy from Dalhousie Univeristy in 2001.  He's continued his education through Advanced Manual Therapy Courses and has most recently been trained in Vesitbular Rehabilitation.  He is active in the community with his work on the Dieppe Commandos Junior Hockey Medical, as well as his work with Crossfit Dieppe.  In addition to Crossfit, Dominic's favourite way to stay active is also with his invovlement in the cycling community.
What Dominic enjoys most about working at Sparx is being in an environment infused with fun and continual learning.  He goes above and beyond when it comes to the health of his clients and is always found to be smiling when interacting with clients and colleagues alike!
Myriam Cormier-Arseneault

Myriam Cormier-Arseneault - Physiotherapist - DSS; BSc PT

Myriam studied in Quebec City where she obtained her Bachelor degree in Physiotherapy from U Laval in 2004.  She then started her career in a private practice in Gatineau (near Ottawa) where she worked for 9 years.  Recently, Myriam and her family had the opportunity to return to NB, and they're very happy to be settled in the region!  Myriam has a particular interest in treating with manual therapy, and always takes the time to listen for a better understanding. She loves to be able to help people along their path of well being.
