Vestibular rehabilitation requires specialized training. Our trained physiotherapists will conduct a thorough evaluation in order to find the cause of the dizziness, vertigo or balance disorder.
The vestibular organ, located behind the ear (inner ear), is an essential part of the body required to maintain normal balance and a fluid movement. An injury to the vestibular organ can affect adults as well as children. In most cases symptoms include loss of balance, dizziness, rotary vertigo, nausea, visual disturbances, can often be caused by an impairment in the vestibular organ.
In other cases, there could be a central nervous system involvement (i.e stroke, head trauma, migraine, etc.) that could also trigger these symptoms in addition to coordination or motor control problems.
